Simien Mountains National Park Expedition – Where Geladas Rule the Highlands

Day 1: Arrival in Debark – Park Introduction and Light Hike
Highlights: Highland plateau, panoramic views, endemic birds
Arrive in Debark and enter the park with a short hike near Sankaber. Spot Gelada baboons grazing along cliffs and enjoy sunset over the dramatic escarpments.
Day 2: Trek to Geech or Chenek Camp
Highlights: Walia ibex, klipspringer, lammergeyer vultures
Hike deeper into the park with possible sightings of the rare Walia ibex. Picnic in alpine meadows and watch for soaring lammergeyers above jagged peaks.
Day 3: Optional Longer Trek or Return via Scenic Viewpoints

Bale Mountains National Park Safari –Tracking the Ethiopian Wolf Across Sky Islands and Misty Forests

Day 1: Dinsho Area – Highland Wildlife Encounters

Begin at the park HQ in Dinsho and explore nearby trails. Spot rare mountain nyala and endemic birds in lush juniper and Hagenia forests.
Day 2: Sanetti Plateau – Ethiopian Wolf Territory
Highlights: Afroalpine moorland, Ethiopian wolf, giant mole-rats
Drive across the Sanetti Plateau at over 4,000m elevation. Watch for the world’s rarest canid, the Ethiopian wolf, and its prey—the giant mole-rat.

Descend into the Harenna Forest. Walk through moist bamboo groves with chances to see forest hogs, lions (rare), and diverse birdlife.
Chebera Churchura National Park Safari – Into the Forest Realm of Ethiopia’s Last Wild Elephants

Day 1: Arrival at Park – Forest Safari Begins
Highlights: African forest elephants, warthogs, dense canopy
Arrive at Chebera Churchura and begin your first game drive or walk through thick montane forest. Spot forest elephants and warthogs while learning about the park’s ecosystem from local guides.
Day 2: Shoshima River Trails and Hot Springs
Highlights: River views, buffalo herds, natural hot springs
Trek along the Shoshima River and spot Cape buffalo near open grasslands. Visit the natural hot springs nestled in forest clearings and enjoy a picnic in the wild.
Day 3: Interior Safari and Birdwatching Excursion

Take a full-day guided safari deeper into the park. Discover rich birdlife including turacos, hornbills, and eagles. Watch for primates like colobus and vervet monkeys in the high tree canopy.
Day 4: Elephant Tracking and Highland Waterfalls
Highlights: Elephant migration trails, scenic valleys, hidden waterfalls
Join expert trackers in search of migrating elephants. Visit nearby waterfalls and secluded valleys, stopping for wildlife photography along the way.
Day 5: Morning Nature Walk – Departure via Kaffa Forest Belt
Highlights: Morning sounds of the forest, final wildlife sightings
Take a peaceful morning walk through the forest at sunrise. Listen to birdsong and look for any last glimpses of wildlife before exiting the park through the lush Kaffa Biosphere.
Maze & Nech Sar National Parks Wildlife Circuit – Open Savannas to Rift Valley Shores

Day 1: Arrival in Maze National Park – Grassland Safari
Highlights: Swayne’s hartebeest, reedbuck, savanna birds
Arrive at Maze National Park and take a guided drive or walk through open savannas. Spot rare Swayne’s hartebeest and other antelopes in the tall grasses. Enjoy birdwatching among acacia clusters.
Day 2: Maze River and Wetland Wildlife
Highlights: Crocodiles, baboons, warthogs
Explore the Maze River ecosystem. Watch for baboons at the water’s edge and Nile crocodiles basking near wetland pools. Picnic by the river and continue your wildlife observations in the afternoon.
Day 3: Transfer to Arba Minch – Lake Chamo Boat Safari
Highlights: Nile crocodiles, hippos, pelicans
Drive through the Gamo Highlands toward Arba Minch. In the afternoon, take a boat safari on Lake Chamo to encounter massive crocodiles, hippos, and vibrant birdlife in the “Crocodile Market.”
Day 4: Nech Sar Plains – Rift Valley Wildlife Walk
Highlights: Zebras, gazelles, panoramic Rift Valley views
Cross the bridge to Nech Sar National Park and hike or drive through open grasslands home to Burchell’s zebras, gazelles, and possibly Swayne’s hartebeest. Soak in sweeping Rift Valley scenery.
Day 5: Dorze Village Visit or Forest Walk – Departure
Highlights: Highland culture, enset food, woven huts
Optional visit to the nearby Dorze highland village to experience traditional weaving and bamboo houses, or take a forest walk before departing from Arba Minch.
